special venue performancesMar 2011 Metro-Suburban Recovery Learning Community, performance of Hearing Voices at the new peer-managed RLC, Framingham, MA Feb 2011 FBI - BCPD Hostage Negotiation Seminar. Mack performs Hearing Voices at the 32nd Annual Hostage Negotiation Seminar, co-sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Baltimore County Police Department. The largest conference of its kind, this annual seminar provides law enforcement with tools for effective crisis intervention. Persons with mental illness are sometimes at the center of these crises, and Mack's presentation puts a human face on mental illness, and presents the point of view of family members who can be key allies in helping to diffuse a crisis. Followed by Q&A facilitated by Dr. Caren DeBernardo, forensic psychologist.
